                            RE: Cease and Desist Notice

Dear Mr. Whitney:

I have not received a response from you regarding your client, Sinclair Skinner, in regards to my request sent on May 15th, 2006.  The request was sent via fax and regular mail.  The mailed copy was returned as unable to forward.  A copy of the envelope is enclosed.  I find it highly unusual that a letter mailed to an address listed on an attorney’s letterhead would be returned to sender.

Nevertheless, the request explicitly called for your client to cite each and every claim of libel per se and defamatory statements as referenced in your Client’s Cease and Desist letter dated May 8th, 2006.  Your client was afforded five business days to comply with the request; that deadline expired on Monday, May 22nd, 2006, as of 5:00PM EST.

Since I have not heard a response; I am to assume that the claims made by your client are baseless and I shall advise my client that he has every right, under the First Amendment, to put his website back up.

Any further attempts by your client, who is a public figure, to silence my client’s First Amendment rights will be vigorously opposed.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss any issue raised in this matter.

                                    Very truly yours,
